North to Alaska: Day 13 (2022-05-14): Hartley Bay to Prince Rupert

Day 13 (2022-05-14): Hartley Bay to Prince Rupert – Approximately 88 miles, 11hrs. Made it out of the Gitga'ata peoples bay and to Prince Rupert a really pretty and modern town. The evening prior, we had the brilliant idea of putting the GOPRO on a stick and sticking underwater to determine if there was rope. Rope was on the prop but not the shaft and bearing. We decided this was an ok risk and headed to Prince Rupert. Got in, docked, showered, went to Safeway, and had some dinner and drinks. We are undecided if the weather is acceptable to cross the Dixen Entrance to the US tomorrow. If we don’t get out tomorrow, we are stuck until it looks like Wednesday.
